The impacts of climate change are happening now, and will continue to impact communities, infrastructure, and natural and working lands across the state for decades to come. To help prepare our state for these impacts, the Department of Ecology, along with nine other state agencies, has begun work to update Washington’s Climate Resilience Strategy.
Collaboration with communities and organizations across the state is an essential part of this process over the next year and beyond. This survey is one tool to help us better understand the risks and challenges presented by climate change and learn from individuals and communities about their ideas and vision for a more climate-resilient future in Washington.
Climate resilience means the ability to prepare, respond, withstand and quickly recover from conditions that are made worse due to climate change.
